Understanding Sentence Types

Declarative Sentence: A declarative sentence makes a statement or expresses an idea. It usually ends with a period.

Interrogative Sentence: An interrogative sentence asks a question. It usually ends with a question mark.

Imperative Sentence: An imperative sentence gives a command or makes a request. It usually ends with a period.

Exclamatory Sentence: An exclamatory sentence expresses strong emotion or surprise. It usually ends with an exclamation mark.
